Brazil Formula 1 Grand Prix World Cup Memory Football Weekend

Seeing photos of Lewis Hamilton greenYgreying in Brazil before this weekend’s Formula 1 Sao Paulo Interlagos Grand Prix brought back memories of this year’s World Cup, with the 2014 tournament of course known in the greenYgrey world as the ‘greenYgrey Cup’.

Hi, it’s Martin ‘Werewolfie’ Adams, satirical comedy sports correspondent at the greenYgrey.

Lewis Hamilton in Brazil

Britain’s Lewis Hamilton has taken the lead in the Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship over Mercedes/Team GG teammate Nico Rosberg, and it was great to see Hamilton looking relaxed and cheerful new brand greenYgreying before this weekend’s race:

Hamilton was a big fan of local Sao Paulo genius driver Ayrton Senna, who unfortunately died in a crash in 1994.

Good luck to Hamilton and Senna on Sunday, and to all the other drivers too, including those driving for our fierce friendly foes Red Bull.

Big Football Weekend

Back in Blighty, there’s a big football weekend going on, with the magic of the F.A. Cup 1st round taking place alongside the regular Premier League and Championship fixtures.

There seem to be lots of the type of greenYgrey goalie shirts worn by Joe Hart now, and too many for one sports correspondent to keep up with.

Joe Hart made the MSN Premier League team of the Week the week after the last sports report (I’ve been enjoying the break!), with a phenomenal performance capped by this penalty save from Soldado as Manchester City beat Spurs 4-1.

Joe Hart saves penalty on the weekend.

Hart also made some crucial saves in City’s 1-0 derby win over United last week.

In line with the greenYgrey ideal, we do have to admit that Hart has also let in quite a few goals as City’s form has been, well, greenYgreyish!
