The Chinese government has done more than most to try and control the inexorable rise in the human population, with its one child per couple policy, although there are many exceptions, and they are now relaxing the law further. Perhaps that is why they are now considering building at sea, according to an article on MSN Innovation.
Hi, it’s Baron Wolfman, head honcho of greenYgrey creation in the absence of Andy Wolfhol.
Positive and Negatives
Like many ideas and innovations, the planned sea city inspires a greenYgrey reaction in the greenYgrey world… and not just because there’s a lot of greenYgrey in the city.
While the city looks an exciting prospect, and thrilling place to visit and live, it also looks as if it might have a negative environmental effect on oceans already being heavily polluted by humanity.
There are of course many such examples of this kind of greenYgrey positivity and negativity in the world already, such as living comfortably and energy consumption; travelling and fuel use; consumer choice and the impact on natural resources, and publishing books and forest degradation.
King Canute Story
However, trying to stop the constant expansion of humanity around the world is like King Canute trying to stop waves; although he was apparently trying to show his followers how weak humanity is compared to God, knowing the waves would not stop, rather than thinking he was all powerful.
Sea City Plans
For now, here’s some great greenYgrey photos from the plans to marvel at and enjoy:
