New Mirror Poem about Autumn

Hi, it’s William Wolfsworth, poetry correspondent at the Greenygrey. I was delighted to see that Marc Latham has written another Folding Mirror poem with a seasonal nature theme.

Rock the Romantics

The poem contains references to the Mamas and Papas and an Aerosmith song, who were kind of like 1960s and 1970s Romantic poets, with my human parallel William Wordsworth of course one of the original Romantic creatives. It also includes Mike Oldfield.

Anyway, I’m off to Romantically run through autumn leaves myself now, so here’s the poem, there’s more info and some nature photos over on

Summer Jumps South, Autumn Falls North

leaves are brown
sky is grey
but Mamas and Papas
this summer’s been California
in the U.K.
many a day

season of wither, welcome come hither

excuse to rest
slowing cycle 10-11
deciduous trees glow dreaming
new seeds Mike Oldfields
hoping to replenish
as nature intended
